MARGARET MAGUIRE
Director of Services
Margaret Maguire is the Director of Services of The Cottage Home Child and Family Services and was appointed to this role in December 2020. Margaret began working as a Social Care Worker in 1997. Since then she has worked in a variety of Social Care settings spending four years working in a Family Restoration Programme in Sydney, Australia. Margaret returned to Ireland in 2006 where she took up the role of Manager of Crann Carraig, which is part of the Cottage Home Child and Family Service. Margaret graduated from DIT.
Ian Wilkie
Ian is a Technical Design Engineer with British telecom Ireland. He has worked in Ireland in the Telecoms Industry for 38 years. He have been involved with the cottage home since 2005. Ian’s Family have a long association with The Cottage Home, his dad Neil having served on the board for many years previous to Ian Joining.
Ian also serves as a volunteer with Leinster Hockey and is currently on the Disciplinary board having previously chaired the Leinster Hockey Men’s Committee.Scott Jungmann
Chairperson
Scott Jungmann is employed by Elavon, a top 5 global payments provider, where he leads several technology teams. He has over 30 years of payments industry hardware and software development and project management experience. Scott has been involved with the Cottage Home since 2004, and a Director since 2010. He has served or is serving on other voluntary boards: Cottage Home Trust, Dalkey School Project National School Board of Management, DSP Executive, St Patrick’s Dalkey Select vestry.
Susie Kenny
After graduating from TCD (B.A. French & Italian) and following a ten year career in a commercial fine art gallery, Susie set up her own retail business in her home town of Greystones. Retiring and selling her business after 30 years she has since become a full time crafter artist. Contributes her time and energies to several charities, but has been involved with Cottage Home for over forty years. Firstly on the House Committee, then Board of Management. Served her term as Chairman and remains a Director and Trustee to the present.
Linda O’Connor
Linda was educated at The High School, Rathgar, and then at the University of Ulster where she obtained a BSc in Social Policy and Administration. She worked for 8 years in residential child-care both in Dublin and London, before leaving the workplace to raise her own family. She has worked on many committees at officer level including, Rathfarnham Parish National School PTA, The High School PA, The High School Past Pupils Union (President), and Rathfarnham Parish Select Vestry. She is very involved in her parish community. In particular, in the area of Children’s ministry where she runs Rathfarnham Parish Sunday Club, and helps run a Parent and Child group.
Linda has been involved with The Cottage Home for many years at many levels, including working there as a childcare worker. She joined the Board of Management in 2005, served as Chairperson from 2013-2017, has served on numerous sub-committees, and is a Trustee.Henry Rooke
Having originally qualified as an Engineer from Trinity College, Dublin, Henry subsequently obtained M.SC and MBA degrees. He spent over 40 years working in supply chain, logistics and general management in a variety of large multinational companies. He also set up and successfully managed his own consultancy business.
Retiring in 2021, Henry joined The Cottage Home in 2022 and continues to serve on a number of other Charity Boards in Ireland.
Shane Carroll
Shane is a solicitor and qualified tax advisor, working as General Counsel and Executive Member for a Japanese-owned company specialising in commercial aircraft leasing. Before joining his current employer, Shane trained as a solicitor at the corporate law firm Matheson and later worked with McCann FitzGerald. From a personal perspective, Shane has a particular interest in GAA and has played and managed football teams at senior levels.
Susan Maguire
An accomplished People & Culture leader, currently serving as Director at Respond (Approved Housing Body), with extensive experience across senior and executive HR roles in Trinity College, DAA, and Aer Rianta International. A qualified secondary school teacher and executive coach, with third-level credentials from DCU, Trinity College, and IMI. Joined the Cottage Home in 2026, bringing a strong commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing workplaces. Passionate about supporting charitable and social justice organisations that create meaningful impact in people’s lives.
Deidre Ni Raghallaigh
Deirdre has over 40 years of experience in Local Government Administration. She worked in many roles for Dublin City Council including library and information services, media and communications, housing and governance services. She has managed a wide range of Council projects. She led an in-house innovation studio on co-designing services. She was the Meeting Administrator of the City Council and was Returning Officer for the 2019 Local Elections. She subsequently managed the National Electoral Registration System Project until she retired in mid 2025. She previously served as director and then Chair of the voluntary group Cáirde, and on other voluntary boards. She has been a director of CHCFS since late 2024. She is a fluent Irish speaker with a keen interest in art, literature, theatre and travel
Peter Garvey- Company Secretary
Peter Garvey is a qualified Accountant (ACCA & CPA) and Certified Tax Adviser (CTax). He has over 30 experience working in Practice. Peter has been involved with the Cottage Home since 2007 and was appointed as Company Secretary in 2010.
